ARTEVO offers a 30-day refund on any product.

  • If you’d like to return an item, simply email returns@artevo.nz and we'll provide your Return Reference and the return address. 
  • Items must be returned in their original condition and packaging within 30 days of delivery.
  • Return shipping costs are the customer's responsibility, except where we made an error or products are damaged on arrival or faulty.
  • Refunds are issued to the original purchaser's credit card. 
  • Gift-wrap fees and original shipping costs are non-refundable, except where required under the New Zealand Consumer Guarantees Act..

Vegetable-tanned Leather is Real Leather

This product is crafted from leather tanned using a traditional process that is centuries old. Natural plant-based tannins are used instead of the chromium salts found in most modern leather production, creating a firmer, more characterful leather that ages beautifully and develops a rich, lustrous patina over time.

My Personal Experience with my Loyal Goodstead satchel

This satchel is just the right size to carry what I need without being too bulky. I can easy fit my iPad or laptop, journal, plus pens and tape measure and a few sample Artevo products when visiting our suppliers or customers.

The Loyal Workshop is a social enterprise founded by New Zealanders in Kolkata, India, where every purchase helps support women leaving the sex trade through sustainable employment and opportunities for independence. As the business grows, more women are able to begin that journey. Loyal’s products are made from vegetable-tanned leather — real leather processed using natural plant-based tannins rather than harsher synthetic chemicals.

It was really easy to shop with you. I was just a little cautious about what veg leather actually was and if it was like that vegan leather the Dr Martin's shoes use. I am so glad it was not. When the bag arrived it did not have that leather smell that I love (at first), it was an unplesant smell so that had me worried even more that it was some substitute leather and not actual leather. In time (a week later) the leather smell is here and I love the smell of it. I love the story behind it. I love that it is simple. In terms of accessing my bag while I am shopping, i am having to get use to the buckles and that takes a little longer to undo and re-do. But I do have a little more confidence in terms of security and making it more harder for 'thieves' to open it and take stuff. Overall, I am really happy with the purchase, but do suggest you say a little bit more about what veg tanned leather is as it sounds close to vegan leather (maybe it's just me). Also, I did see a similar bag at Rod and Gunn, but was lined and had zips, magnetic catches etc, I looked at it before I purchased your bag and decided to go with your bag because of the simplicity. I then looked at the price of the Rodd and Gunn bag - it was 3 x more expensive, so I got home and straightaway ordered your one. So happy.
